Helix

To do: Look at the light on top of your Helix Fi gateway: steady white, the connection is reaching your home.
To do: Light off, steady red or blinking orange? Check the power cord and that the coaxial cable is screwed in.
To do: Tap Restart gateway in the Helix Fi app or unplug the gateway for a minute and plug it back in.
To do: Test another device, then a computer connected by Ethernet cable: if it works, it's the Wi-Fi.
To do: Still down? Tap Test your connection in the Helix Fi app, Preview section.

To do: Turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
To do: Restart your cell phone so it re-registers on the Videotron network.
To do: Turn off your phone, remove the SIM card, put it back in, then test it in another phone.

Vidéotron, a Québecor company, owns its cable and fibre network in Québec. In Québec and Ottawa its LTE network is shared with Rogers until 2033. In Ontario, Alberta and B.C. it runs the Freedom network (bought from Shaw in April 2023) and uses MVNO access elsewhere.
