  • To do: Look at the power, internet and Wi-Fi lights on your Airtel router: stable green, the connection reaches you.
  • To do: LOS light red or lights off? Check the power cable and the yellow fibre patch cord in the ONT.
  • To do: Unplug the ONT/router, wait 15 to 20 seconds, plug it back in and wait until the lights show a connection.
  • To do: Test another device, then a computer plugged in with an Ethernet cable: if that works, it's the Wi-Fi.
  • To do: Still down? Use My Wi-Fi in the Airtel Thanks app to diagnose your connection.

  • To do: Turn on airplane mode for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
  • To do: Restart your phone so it re-registers on the Airtel network.
  • To do: Remove the SIM card, clean it, reinsert it, then test it in another phone.
  • To do: Check in the Airtel Thanks app that your number is active and your recharge or data isn't used up.
  • To do: Check the Airtel Open Network map for current outages near you.

Bharti Airtel runs its own 4G and 5G Plus mobile network and a home broadband service on fiber and copper. Its subsidiary Indus Towers owned 267,611 macro towers in June 2026. Airtel had 491.6M mobile connections in August 2026 (TRAI), M2M SIMs included.
