Landline internet down in blanchardstown, outage began at 7am and is ongoing, no discernible cause or apparent action being taken.

No internet tv or phone. Virgin says no outage, but there was a confirmed outage earlier so assume it’s the same issue just no one working now.

To do: Look at the light on your Virgin Media hub: solid white, the connection is up and running.
To do: Hub light off or red? Check the power switch on the back and that the ONT or outlet box lights are green.
To do: Turn the power switch off for 10 seconds, back on, then allow up to five minutes to reconnect.
To do: Test another device, then a computer connected by Ethernet cable: if that works, it's the Wi-Fi.
To do: Still down? Use the My Virgin Media app to test your service and track outages.

To do: Turn on flight mode for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
To do: Restart your phone: sometimes it needs a restart to reconnect to the network.
To do: Remove the SIM, clean it, reinsert it, then test it in another phone.
To do: Check in the My Virgin Media app that your line is active and your spend limit isn't reached.

Virgin Media Ireland, owned by Liberty Global, runs its own cable network and is moving it to fibre: 1.02M homes passed in June 2026. It also sells broadband over SIRO and NBI. Virgin Mobile is an MVNO on Three: it leases Three's radio network and runs its own core.
