Bt broadband down. Smart hub 3 flashing orange. Have tried a hub reset, flashing light goes solid green and then flashing orange. Started around 1.30pm on 20.10 .26

Started about 21:30 Wed 21/10/26. Hub is still flashing blue like normal, and BT ONT is flashing normally as well. No internet available.

BT Smart Hub

To do: Look at the hub light on your BT Smart Hub: solid blue, your hub is connected to the internet.
To do: Light orange, red or off? Check the power cable is firmly connected to the mains.
To do: Press the Power button on the back of the hub, wait 5 minutes, then switch it back on.
To do: Test another device, then a computer connected by Ethernet cable: if that works, it's the Wi-Fi.
To do: Still down? Log in to My BT and run the BT Broadband troubleshooter to test your line.

BT Mobile

To do: Turn on flight mode for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
To do: Restart your phone so it re-registers on the BT Mobile network.
To do: Clean the SIM and its contacts with a dry cloth, reinsert it, then test it in another phone.
To do: Check in the My BT app that your SIM is activated and your allowance isn't used up.
To do: Check the BT mobile coverage checker to see if there's a signal problem in your area.

BT belongs to BT Group. Its broadband runs over Openreach, the group's wholesale fixed network, which passed 23.4M premises with full fibre in June 2026. BT Mobile, relaunched in May 2026, uses the EE network. BT's analogue landline network closes at the end of January 2027.
