To do: Check the Service light on your AT&T Wi-Fi Gateway: solid white means the connection reaches your home.
To do: Blinking red or no light? Check the power cord and look for a loose or damaged cable on the Gateway.
To do: Unplug the Gateway power cord for 20 seconds, plug it back in and wait up to 10 minutes for it to restart.
To do: Test another device, then a computer connected by Ethernet cable: if that works, it's the WiFi.
To do: Still offline? Check for outages in the Smart Home Manager or myAT&T app: they flag known issues in your area.

To do: Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
To do: Restart your phone so it re-registers on the AT&T network.
To do: Remove the SIM card, clean it, put it back in, then test it in another phone.

AT&T owns its nationwide 5G and LTE network, which also carries FirstNet for first responders. Its fiber network reached 38.6M locations in June 2026, helped by the Lumen consumer fiber business bought in February 2026. AT&T plans to exit most of its copper network by the end of 2029.
